Use SmartNotes (Beta)
Leaders, presenters, and participants can take notes for future reference during a session using the SmartNotes feature in Cornerstone Classroom. This feature is available in both, the App and the Modern Express client. Notes are private to each attendee and are created only on the client side.
Note: Currently, this feature is in a Beta phase and will undergo
changes in the upcoming releases.
Features
SmartNotes provides the following features:
- Addresses note-taking challenges during an event
- Allows you to snip a screen area during the session, automatically converting the image to text
- Displays all your smart notes in a separate popup window in the App
- Facilitates easy search for smart notes
- Locally stored smart notes persist between sessions
- Allows you to manually take notes by typing them in SmartNotes
- Enables categorization of smart notes using folders (only in the App client)
- Provide the ability to bookmark smart notes (only in the App client)
Configure SmartNotes
This feature is disabled by default. Meeting Administrators can configure your domain
to enable this feature.
Note: To enable the feature, submit a
request. For more details, contact Support.
The SmartNotes feature can be configured at the domain level so that it is either:
- Available only to leaders and co-presenters by default. They can choose to
enable SmartNotes for all participants in the event.
Or,
- Available to all attendees, including leaders, co-presenters, and participants by default. Leaders and co-presenters can choose to disable SmartNotes for all participants.
