Use the Saba Meeting Outlook Scheduler

The Saba Meeting Outlook Scheduler allows creating classroom and meeting sessions directly from Microsoft Outlook. This feature uses the familiar Outlook interface and existing distribution lists. Invitations to users are automatically added to their Outlook Calendar.

Pre-requisites

To use the Saba Meeting Outlook Scheduler for scheduling events, you need:
  • Microsoft Outlook previously installed on your machine
  • Saba Meeting Scheduler for Microsoft Outlook plug-in installed
  • Saba Meeting user account

Install Saba Meeting Outlook Scheduler

The Saba Meeting Outlook Scheduler installation can be done either by an individual user or the Administrator.

If the installation is performed by a user with administrator privileges for a machine, the installation becomes available to all users on the machine upon the login. The installer supports SAML authentication when Saba Meeting is integrated with a SAML protected Saba Cloud environment.

The Saba Meeting Scheduler for Microsoft Outlook plug-in can be downloaded and installed from the Saba Meeting Management Server. For details, refer to the Saba Meeting Admin help.

It can also be downloaded and installed from the Downloads page of an integrated app such as Saba Cloud. For details, refer to the Saba Cloud help.

Note: Once you install the plug-in, restart Microsoft Outlook.

Uninstall Saba Meeting Outlook Scheduler

To uninstall the Saba Meeting Outlook Scheduler:
  • In a Windows environment, uninstall from the Add/Remove programs menu.
  • In a Mac environment, delete the SabaMeetingOutlookScheduler.app from the applications folder.
