View closed captions in the Express client
The Cornerstone Classroom Express client supports Closed Captioning. Participants attending an event in the Express client get the options to show or hide closed captions and see the CC transcript.
However, participants in the Express client cannot be assigned as a Closed Captioner for a session.
View closed captions in the legacy Express client
- Click the CC icon in the side bar.
- Click Show Subtitles. They can see the subtitles in the subtitle bar at
the bottom of the client window. The subtitles bar disappears 10 seconds after the
last closed captioning message and re-appears when the next message is received.

View CC transcript in the legacy Express client
- Click the CC icon in the side bar.
- Click View CC Transcript. The closed caption transcript opens in a popup
window, which you can resize and move in the client area. The CC Transcript
includes both manual and live subtitles.

View closed captions in the Modern Express client
To view closed captions in the Modern Express client, click the CC icon (
)
in the footer.
When the captions are broadcasted in the event, they start appearing in the subtitles area above the footer in the Modern Express client. The subtitles bar disappears 10 seconds after the last closed captioning message and re-appears when the next message is received.

- Click the More actions icon in the footer.
- Click View CC Transcript.
The closed caption transcript opens in a popup window, which you can resize and move in the client area. The CC Transcript includes both manual and live subtitles.
