About SmartNotes

SmartNotes is available in both App and Modern Express clients, but with minor differences in functionality.

SmartNotes in the App client

For leaders and presenters using the App client, the SmartNotes menu contains the following options:
  • SmartNotes (icon)
  • Snipping Tool
  • Enable SmartNotes for participants or Disable SmartNotes for participants

For participants using the App client, this menu contains the following option:
  • SmartNotes (icon)
  • Snipping Tool

SmartNotes menu for participants

Clicking the SmartNotes (SmartNotes icon) icon opens the SmartNotes window. By default, it displays the notes in a list view. Click the grid icon to open the Grid view.

SmartNotes in the Modern Express client

For participants and co-presenters using the Modern Express client, the SmartNotes (SmartNotes icon) icon is displayed in the footer. Clicking the SmartNotes icon displays icons for the following options:
  • Start Snipping
  • Show SmartNotes

Clicking the Show SmartNotes (Show SmartNotes icon) icon opens the SmartNotes window.

SmartNotes window

It displays the following action icons at the bottom of the window: New Note and Download Notes.
